On Wednesday 13th September, 55 Upper School Linguists and XX Wine Society members experienced a European Wine Tasting Evening lead by Mr Dhanda and Mr Foulds in the Collingwood.

We were able to taste three red and three white wines along with a selection of meats and cheeses. A small presentation on each wine was given, including its origin and grape. We also discussed the nose and taste, with our table of friends and teachers, who were able to give us extra information on the wines from their respective countries.

After voting for our favourites we were able to see that everyone has a different preference when it comes to wine, whether it be a white German Riesling or a Spanish Albarino, a red Italian Chianti or French Bordeaux. The evening was a huge success, with everyone saying how much they enjoyed it.
